After what seems like a substantial break in SbN Senior’s competitions we returned to the Constable course but it all seemed rather strange with no reserved tee times allowed at the moment and no socialising post competition. Hopefully we will be able to get back to some sort of normality as soon as circumstances allow.
The course was in superb condition, benefitting from the very welcome rain showers in the previous few days. The green staff are doing a great job keeping the standards up. Well done to all concerned.
The system for entering the competition seemed to go well with 67 players, probably slightly down on the number that could normally be expected. Players putting their scores directly into HDID also appears to have gone reasonably well - one issue appears to be where one player entered his Stableford points into the system rather than his number of shots! This rather distorted the number of 2’s results more than a little and coming in with a Stableford score approaching 80 points was rather optimistic!! It is also essential that players indicate, when confirming they are entering the competition, which tee is being used.
Scores MUST be entered by midnight on the day of the competition otherwise they will be recorded as a N/R.
Maybe the hole of the day was achieved by Rob Giles with an eagle on the 7th - that takes a bit of doing!
For the rearranged April stableford congratulations must go to Tony Denmead, with 40 points in Division 1, and David Seymour, with 36 points in Division 2, both on countback.
Leading positions ........
Tony Denmead 40 points on c/b
Simon Oliphant 40
Phil Ledger 39
David Seymour 36 points
David Drew 35
Jimmy Pearl 34
