Yuletide Scramble - 16th December 2019

Seniors Yuletide Scramble

Monday 16th December 2019.

Gainsborough Course

Maybe the greatest fun days golf during the year with 14 four man teams competing in the December Yuletide Scramble. No entry fee today but donations, both cash and produce, for the Sudbury Storehouse Charity - the Sudbury Foodbank. Our members certainly did the charity proud and we already have received a note from them expressing their appreciation. Well done to everyone concerned.

"Storehouse Charity would like to thank the SbN Senior Golfers most sincerely for their wonderful generosity in supporting families in difficulty in the Sudbury area.
Your donations of food and other produce will go a long way to help families both at Christmas and in the New Year.
The financial donation of £350 (plus 25% additional tax rebate) is fantastic and will help maintain the charity which is becoming increasingly expensive to run.
We at Storehouse wish you and your families a very happy Christmas and,  once again, many thanks for all your help”

The days golf was played on the Gainsborough course which has suffered with the vaste amounts of rain over the recent weeks but is still, apart from a few notorious holes, playing better than probably could be expected. The weather really should improve very soon!

The competition was fierce with very little separating most of the teams. Full results are available on HDID.
