18 pairs competed today in an American Greensomes competition - probably a disappointing turnout but surely affected by the 2 big Essex competitions this week.
Great confusion as to the rules, confusion that continues some 3 days after the competition. This will be resolved ahead of a possible rerunning of the competition in 12 months time.
Congrats this week to the pairing of Pete Hele & Dick Lumsden who could do nothing wrong in accumulating a magnificent score of 46 points, 3 ahead of their nearest challengers.
After our Captain’s comments in the latest newsletter how pleasing it was to see most players delaying their departure to congratulate the winners.
Leading positions ……..
1st Pete Hele & Dick Lumsden 46 points
2nd David Giles & Robin Owen 43 pts
3rd Tony Carman & Colin Jackson 42 pts on c/b
