Todays Monthly Stableford was played in sweltering conditions on a Constable course with fast running fairways. An excellent turnout, everyone appeared to enjoy the competition - at least it looked like it from the amazing scores that were entered.

In Div 1, Kevin Walsh continued his recent very rich vein of form with an outstanding 45 points - more than half the Div 1 field returned scores better than handicap.

In Div 2 Gordon (5 Wood) Bryan put his outstanding success down to a recent switch to green castle tees - whatever it was his 46 points was superb. A well deserved handicap cut of 2.3 !!

Ray Firth was an early starter and spent time after his round quietly waiting for a prize giving ceremony “surely no one could top his 46 points” but to lose on countback was harsh. We wonder when was the last time 46 points has not been a winner ?
