The aims and  purpose of  the Section,  are  to  provide Competitive and Social Golf  for retired members and to provide the opportunity of playing in friendly golf  matches against other Golf  Clubs. Our basic philosophy and  Section  Motto    "NUMQUAM  SOLUM  AMBULANT"    (“Never Walk Alone”),    aims  to  ensure that no-one  is  left  behind,  who is  looking  for  a  game. 

Membership of the Section is open to all male members of the Stoke-by-Nayland Golf Club, who have reached the age of 60,  at the time of making their application and also to male members of the Stoke-by-Nayland Golf Club, who have reached the age of 55 years, at the time of making their application and are fully retired.  The Committee may, at their discretion, refuse any application.

The  Joining Fee, currently  £20.00,  which will  include provision of a Veterans' Section  golf cap (Your joining membership fee will be invoiced to you by SbN as will future annual subscriptions, currently £10)

NOTES

There are a  number of  internal  competitions,  played  each  year,  including  a  monthly  Stableford.  Members  are  also  invited  to  play in  matches against  other  Clubs and teams  are  selected,  with the intention of  giving  everyone  the  opportunity  to  play,   regardless  of   ability.  Seniors also  meet  informally on Mondays, Wednesdays and  Fridays, from around 7.30am, for friendly games.  In  return  for some of  the advantages which Senior membership allows us,   all  members of  the Section  are expected  to  carry  out  occasional duties  at   various  events,   organised  by  the  Club.
