For the past few years the club has held a golf day in memory of Dick Chalmers, a popular member of the club who sadly passed away with prostate cancer. The format of the day is a team competition between the numerous groups and societies throughout the club with the winners returning the highest average scores from the team. 100 participated in 2023.

This year the Seniors section were represented by Graham Vandervord / John Smith / Barry Hitchcock / Peter Garnett / Norman Davidson / Rob Swann / Peter Jay who returned an average Stableford score of 32.57 to come in 3rd place - a highly commendable performance - well done to all concerned.
