Once again this competition was one of the best FUN events of the year, not only becuase of the time of the year but also because of the playing format and the fact that it is a shotgun start, ensuring a great atmoshere both before the competition starts and in the clubhouse afterwards.

46 members joined in the fun and games played on the Gainsborough course which has suffered considerably over the past weeks with the considerable volumes of rain - to say the underfoot conditions were muddy would be a massive understatement!

For a number of years, at the Yuletide the opportunity has been taken to raise funds for the Sudbury Foodbank and once again the members supported this extremely well and £1600 has now been passed over to support the superb work that they undertake. A magnificent effort by the section - special thanks must also go to Roger Davies for coordinating these efforts.
