Just when you thought that you were improving at this game Autumn arrives, tons of leaves and very strong winds. As soon as leaves are cleared off fairways the next wind puts them straight back again. I dread to think how many balls were lost, occasionally temporary - sometimes for ever, and yet another half decent card gets destroyed.

It certainly seems that todays 3 Captains match caused all manner of such issues with only one brave soul, David Drew, managing to play to handicap - well done David.

The 3 Captains prize this year went to the Captain’s team - 10 best scores counting. The Past Captains team led by Pete Hele in the absence of John Parkinson who was restricted to his sick bed, suffering with a Covid attack - we wish you well JP.
