51 players in todays Monthly Stableford & Senior Captains Prize - played on the Gainsborough course in excellent condition - can anyone remember fairways being watered so early in the year. Stopping the ball was a bit of an issue, this seemed to reflect in the scoring which was far more modest that is usual.

Perhaps this was also the reason that not a single birdie was achieved on any of the par 3’s. Has this ever happened before?
