50  participants in todays Monthly Stableford - held on a Constable course in great condition, it has certainly benefitted from the recent concentrated attention and even more recent fertiliser dressing. The biggest question is whether members would manage to get back to the clubhouse before any rain and the forthcoming Storm Floris. As it turned out, apart from some difficult winds, we were spared any use of waterproofs.

Despite the tricky wind some excellent scores were recorded - special congratulations must go to Steve Tree, in Div 1 with 41 points, Captain, Kevin Price, with an outstanding 45 points in Div 2, and finally Robin Owen with a great shot on the 13th to win the Nearest the Pin.

Perhaps an indication of some awkward conditions that there were only 3 birdies on par 3s - well done to Roger Davies (8th), Robin Owen (13th) and Tony Carman (18th)
