Tony Denmead and Dick Lumsden have won the Seniors Winter Pairs knockout for the second year running.
Playing Colin Dallas and Rob Davies on the Gainsborough course in warm sunshine it felt more like the summer final than the winter final
In what turned out to be a very tight match, Tony and Dick took an early lead and held on to go into the turn 2 up.
But Colin and Rob won 10 and 11 to square the match, only for the eventual winners to hit back with wins at 12 and 13.
In a nervy finish, the deficit was reduced to just one hole up going into the 18th, but a half at the end saw victory go to Tony and Dick.
As always, the match was played in great spirit and ably refereed by Seniors Captain Kevin Price who was on hand to make independent rulings when needed.
