MEDAL CUP & BELL - 12th AUGUST
Today's medal round was always going to be difficult.
The first obstacle to negotiate off the first tee is the now huge tree on the other bank.
Every fairway was a challenge, however, the greens were running very true and got faster as the day went on.
If you didnt lose a ball, you did well and probably scored well.
The usual holes were causing trouble, in particular the 5th.
Irons off tees seemed to be the sensible play.
Anyone that shot their handicap definitely deserved a medal. Congrats to the few that did.
Special congrats to John Smith who clearly had a great round. We are unsure if anyone is allowed to win both Cup & Bell !!
Many thanks to Malcolm Norton on his observations on todays Medal Cup & Bell.
