This years Past Captains Challenge will be contested over 2 legs as is usual, the first leg contested on Tuesday 28th April on the Gainsborough course.
Originally 9 former Captains were signed up , but unfortunately the late withdrawal through illness or fear of the inclement weather of Steve Ling meant that only 8 eventually took to the Gainsborough Course.
Some good scores were posted, but it was inevitable that Ian Bickers continued his run of fine form coming in with 39 points to finish first. Closely followed in second place by Bob Filer with 36 points and John Parkinson in third place with 31 points, but only on count back from Norman Davidson.
The second leg of this hotly contested and prestigious event will take place on Thursday 17th September at the Colne Valley Course, Earls Colne.
Many thanks indeed to Terry Mitchell for his organisation of yet another great day.
