A bright and breezy morning at SbN saw the first Captain Pro Challenge of the 2022 season on the Constable Course.

Dick and Pete dovetailed extremely well and raced into a 3 hole lead after 3, but were pegged back on the Par 5 4th hole, by Karl’s eagle attempt and subsequent birdie. Our Challengers won holes 5&6, and halved 7, before Karl birdied 8, however 9 was won to leave Pete & Dick 4 up at the turn.

The match was quickly decided early on the back 9 with pars against scratch, good enough to win holes 10,11 and 12, and handshakes on the 12th green delivered a decisive 7&6 victory to the Challengers, Pete & Dick.

The match was played in excellent spirit, many thanks to Karl for his time, and many thanks to Pete and Dick for their kind donation to the Captain’s charity.
