Having got a bye in the first round SbN travelled to Abridge GC for the 2nd round match.

It’s always difficult to play these fixtures away from home, especially when courtesy rounds were not provided by Abridge.

Unfortunately a huge deluge of rain the previous day made the course very wet and soggy underfoot.

The early matches were very keenly fought with the final result in the balance it was down to the final two matches to decide the overall result.

Despite a gallant effort by both players SbN eventually lost the match 6-3.
