Our match against Stuart Pearce and Paul Robinson (no football pun intended got of to the usual start losing the first two holes After a valiant comeback and a chance of a half were scuppered with the 17th hole being closed !

Started well with a win on the first - that was the end of that as we were 3 down at the turn. We managed to get one back and then halved 16th and with 17th being closed was the end for us.

Dave and I played quite well tee to green but sadly we were undone on the greens and came a very creditable 2nd

Carefully prepared plan to lull them into a false sense of security worked well after being 3 down but managed to scrape a victory with a birdie on the last hole

A very close game all though played in good spirit
Peter managed to get his ball stuck up a tree !!

The Stowmarket boys played really well with pars - we didn’t stand a chance
Trevor turned it on at the 15th just missing an eagle putt from 2 ft away better late than never.

Close thought match only one in it till the rain came down.
Bill won the nearest the pin competition - his ball scuttled along the ground and hopped up on the green - what can you say ?

Won 5&4
Raced to a four hole lead early on but our opponents started to creep back until Richard holed from the bunker for a two, their heads dropped and we extended our lead walking in after the 15th.
