28 members who are either currently members of your Senior’s committee, or have been in the past, competed for the Committee Cup at Rookery Park GC - a annual opportunity for the Seniors Captain to thank those that have supported him in his year.
Rookery Park was an excellent choice of course - the fairways were as burnt up as every course throughout the country and proved to be particularly testing with a number of dog leg holes - greens were in excellent condition - the bacon roll, ahead of playing, and post golf meal were excellent.
Many thanks to Allen Smith who made all of the arrangements 👏👏👏 and also well done to Gordon Bryan, who continues his rich vein of form to sneak a win by one point ahead of Bob F, Allen S and Ed S.
Despite the amazingly dry conditions a toad decided to hop his way across the 1st green ahead of one of the 4 balls who were then amazed when he / she decided to take refuge at the bottom of the hole. Phil Ledger proved the hero once again and rescued the toad and after the traditional kiss returned the toad to a safer location. The kiss didn’t however work !!!
