Mervyn Jones Deceased 1934 - 2023

We are very saddened to advise our members of the passing of Mervyn on the 15th February.

Mervyn was a very active member of the section for a number of years, thoroughly enjoying his golf whilst supporting the section in a quiet but influential way.

His health suddenly deteriorated just under 3 years ago resulting in a move to residential care alongside his wife Gill, who sadly also passed away only a few months ago.

A real gentleman who will be very much missed by both his family and his many friends at Stoke by Nayland.

The funeral is to be held on the 21st March 2023, 11.00am at Colchester Crematorium, CO2 8RU

A celebration of life will be held at the Best Western Rose & Crown East Street, Colchester, Essex, CO1 2TZ (https://www.roseandcrowncolchester.co.uk/).
 
We are told that here is parking at the hotel for approximately 35 cars (the public pay and display behind the hotel may no longer be available). The car registration will need to be provided to the reception desk or bar to avoid a fine. I am also advised that there is on street parking available or also in the Lidl supermarket around the corner.
