Captain’s Longest Day Challenge - 16th June 2023

Although not quite the ‘Longest Day’ you could not have asked for a better day to play two 18 hole rounds on the Constable course to raise funds for our Captains chosen charity, the East Anglian Children’s Hospice (EACH).

The course seemed to be full of SbN members raising charitable funds - teeing off on the 1st the morning players allowed a 3 ball through - they were starting their second round of the day, second of four, raising funds for Prostate Cancer research. Another couple of holes and another 3 ball was allowed through - we don’t know their ‘cause’. Although they weren’t spotted Graham Cork and Nick Wright were seeking to play 100 holes in the day, again raising charitable funds - these Seniors are clearly built of strong stuff !!

Malcolm was already being well supported but it was excellent to see him being approached through his round with financial support for his efforts.

We have no doubt that other members would like to support him - any support would be so much appreciated - please pass funds either direct to Malcolm or into the account advised to members through the WhatsApp Group.

The days fun & games did little to assist the Captain’s handicap index - playing off white tees, cards were submitted in both morning & afternoon with two increases in handicap !! Whoops !!

So far £1076 has been raised following the days golf - many thanks to all who  have contributed.

Morning 4 Ball

Afternoon 4 Ball
